Design and develop a tool for studio promotion using all studio capabilities including industrial design, graphic design and interaction design departments.

A family of LED lit cubes were created with communication abilities. Colors change by rotating the “parent” Luminode and 5 “children” respond depending upon their characteristics (for example, the “good child” matches the “parent’s” color perfectly, the “bad child” displays the inverse color). The Luminodes “fall asleep” when left untouched, only to awake when the “parent” Lumi is disturbed.

Three fully working prototype sets, including packaging, were created for studio promotion. The contained RFID and accelerometer technology could potentially be used for other applications such as lighting fixtures or dynamic presentation aids.
