Design a Runbase store for Boston, collaborating with Adidas, the Boston Athletic Association and Marathon Sports.

The Boston Marathon Runbase, located feet from the finish line of its namesake race, was designed to be a community hub and resource for Boston’s urban running scene. It is a collaborative effort between the Marathon’s major sponsor, Adidas, the Marathon’s organizer, the Boston Athletic Association, and the local running store, Marathon Sports. A merchandise display places state-of-the-art running gear within a historical context, and vitrines showcase artifacts from the Marathon’s storied history. The store features lockers, showers and a recovery area for runners. The Runbase houses an interactive database and leaderboard to engender a sense of community among Boston’s runners, extending the store experience into the city.
